SIMPSON MEN about to float from Sprewell Bluff to Hwy 36 bridge

No, do not adjust your screen, this is another warped (and seemingly-flattened) picture. He hasn't shrunk a bit...even if I HAVE!

May not be Niagara, but it sure is a refreshing place to take a break.

Foot patrol...no, just island hopping.

The old fart himself

OOOoooohh!!! Wait! I slipped!!! This is gonna hurt!

Where did he go? I know he went down somewhere along here...oh, well, guess I'll just have to find another old man!

I'll drink to that last thought!

And now...where did THEY go? Who said there wasn't alligators along this stretch of the Flint?

Speaking of the one that got away, look at this "piece of driftwood". I am willing to bet it was a part of the old "Double Bridges"...No?               If only I could have loaded this baby up!

Another self-portrait...who else would want to take my picture?

Truly relaxing

Time to shove off...a rocky ledge, that is!

Y-not take a picture of this tree? If only a picture could do it justice...

Up for a look and a stretch

Proud Papas

And all good things must come to an end...Hwy 36 Bridge in under three hours; Way too fast!

Flint River Outdoor Center...and a word of caution: they no longer allow visitors to pay to park or to use their boat ramp. Now you must pay to use their shuttle in order to use their ramp. That, or pay for a camping spot - the cheapest of which is $20.00 and across the road! And oh yeah, a word of caution about Sprewell Bluff Park: now you have to have a special permit to use the park. No longer can you pay a day use fee of just two dollars. You may want to go on-line to get details. I don't think they even sell the permits in the park either. Here is one place where details are listed: http://savetheflintriver.blogspot.com/2012/03/new-pass-needed-at-sprewell-bluff-park.html

One 16 foot tandem under one 14 foot tandem kayak. And Captain Simpson, of course, whom I am most proud of and love dearly!!!
